The Sunday Box Score

If they said it during the broadcast (likely did), I missed it, but yesterday marked the first game in which the Braves were behind the opposition in 2015. That lasted six innings yesterday after 2 come-backs to tie the score.

The deciding factor, it seems was the decision in put in two pitchers that had not yet seen action this year: Juan Jaime and Andrew McKirahan. One of those options worked better than the other.

It would be interesting to research games that Jaime has pitched in to see if his first batter faced portends a trend for the rest of his outing. My own recollection is that if he’s walking hitters right away, then look out. Such was the case Sunday, leaving no margin for error.
