Update: A Look Inside The Atlanta Braves New SunTrust Park

The Atlanta Braves will be leaving Turner Field on 755 Hank Aaron Drive and head to Cobb County, Georgia in 2017 to their new home ballpark – SunTrust Park.

New new facility is still under construction, but will soon be home of your Atlanta Braves.  It will be located in Cumberland area of Cobb County in Georgia.  This is northwest of downtown Atlanta and located off Interstate 75 and Interstate 285.

This new ballpark will not only be just a playing field for the Braves, it will serve as an entertainment facility with restaurants, shopping centers and enjoyable activities.  The piece that I’m most looking forward to is that inside the ballpark, it will feature an “intimate configuration”.  This means that it will be placing a high percentage of the seats closer to the field.  It’s rumored that it will be the closest to the field than any other ball park in the Major League.

Construction began on April 16, 2014 and will continue through the next two years.

Pretty cool stuff, eh? No, we aren’t moving to Canada, but eh felt appropriate.

Technology?  Yes, please.  A partnership with Comcast will bring new technologies that “will wow the senses”.
