Adrian Gonzalez, Dodgers crush Atlanta Braves, 8-0

Tomahawk Take Editor’s Note: Even Clayton Kershaw had a base hit for the Dodgers on Tuesday night as they defeated the Braves 8-0.  Kershaw had 10 strikeouts for LA without giving up a run and only four hits.  The Dodgers dominated once again against the Braves.  Atlanta totaled five hits all game

"Like days of rain after a long drought, the runs have returned for the Dodgers. Their fourth inning was their most productive frame of the season. They batted around and scored six runs and had six hits. Howie Kendrick, Justin Turner, A.J. Ellis and Kershaw each drove in a run, and Ethier hit his two-run double. After the inning, every Dodgers batter had recorded a hit."

Shelby Miller Emerging as ace Atop Atlanta Braves Rotation

Tomahawk Take Editor’s Note: The Atlanta Braves would be nowhere close to where they are at in the 2015 season without Shelby Miller on the team.  He has pitched outstanding in the first two months of the season.  He currently has a 5-1 record in his nine starts with a 1.50 ERA, the third lowest in the MLB.

"A closer look at advanced metrics unveils Miller’s MLB-best .200 BABIP (batting average on balls in play) which can be tied to a steady peppering of high fastballs in the zone, as detailed by a report from Fangraphs. He’s experimented with a two-seam sinker and a traditional four-seam fastball.“It’s just an average sinker, but it’s another pitch to mix in there,” Miller told USA TODAY. “There are guys out there with better ones; hopefully with time mine will get better. It’s a great pitch to have.”"
