In an interesting twist, there was one player at Chavez Ravine that got to enjoy a complete series sweep in the Braves/Dodgers matchup:  Juan Uribe, who got to enjoy three victories for his team(s).  Strange, but true.

Also on the strangeness angle:  how odd was it that a pitcher named ‘Liberatore’ got the win on Memorial Day, given the traditional role of the US Military as liberators of war victims?

Meanwhile, the homer drought is over, the Braves’ own California drought is over…their first win in the state since May 13th of 2014 (their only West Coast victory last year)… and the Dodgers were finally defeated last night (no mean feat – they are running at a .750 clip at home this season) despite just 5 hits and 12 K.  When you look back at it, though, the Braves certainly had a chance in the first game (leading 2-1 in the seventh) and lost game 2 because Julio Teheran fell apart in in just 1 inning+.
