Tomahawk Take Editor’s Note: The Atlanta Braves offense totaled 10 hits and six runs on Tuesday night, but that wasn’t enough to defeat the Diamondbacks.  Every batter except for Andrelton Simmons had at least one base hit with Nick Markakis having two hits and Todd Cunningham having three hits.  The Braves are now back at .500 with a 26-26 record.

Pollock’s late HR sinks Atlanta Braves, 7-6, against Arizona Diamondbacks

Tomahawk Take Editor’s Note: The Atlanta Braves CANNOT lose to the Arizona Diamondbacks…but they did on Tuesday evening.  Shelby Miller didn’t have his best stuff and only lasted 4.1 innings while giving up four runs, six hits and six walks.  The Braves were down 4-1 in the 5th inning when they exploded for five runs in the top of the 6th inning.  With Miller not having his best game, you’d hope the bullpen could step up a little…nope.  Nick Masset gave up a run on a hit and two walks and Brandon Cunniff gave up two runs on two hits, two walks and a homer.  Cunniff’s ERA is now 5.09 for the 2015 season.

"A.J. Pollock hit a two-out, two-run home run into the Chase Field swimming pool in the seventh inning and the Arizona Diamondbacks beat the Atlanta Braves 7-6 in a back-and-forth game Tuesday night. The homer was the 51st splashdown in the water beyond the right field fence since the ballpark opened in 1998.Ender Inciarte had two RBIs, two runs scored and two stolen bases for the Diamondbacks. He drew a two-out walk from Brandon Cunniff (2-1) and scored on Pollock’s home run."
