After a recent hiatus, the Atlanta Braves are once again signing relief pitchers:

More from Tomahawk Take

Nearly-38-year-old Jason Frasor was released by Kansas City 4 days ago and was said to have been drawing significant interest from several team – notably the Mariners and Red Sox.  Nonetheless, it seems that the Braves have been persuasive, so I would anticipate seeing him in uniform – in the majors – when play resumes tomorrow.

The diminutive (5’9″) Frasor was sporting a robust 1.54 ERA for the Royals in 26 appearances/23 innings, though critics point to both his elevated walk rate (5.79 per 9 innings) and “peripheral stats” (4.02, 4.60 FIP and xFIP) to suggest both why the Royals felt they could let him go and why the Braves might shy away.

Nonetheless, as noted above, teams were hard after him, and Frasor is now an Atlanta Brave.
