I’m still not sure how this happened last night.  The Atlanta Braves mustered 10 hits and 8 walks – eighteen baserunners – and yet…

  • 0 for 8 with Runners in Scoring Position (RISP)
  • none of those walkers scored
  • 13 stranded runners
  • 3 RBI, via 2 solo homers and a groundout

That’s just about as anti-clutch as you can get.

Shelby Miller still doesn’t have a Win since Mid-May.  His 7th inning spun out of control, but as usual, when you’re left with little or no margin for error, it doesn’t take a lot to disrupt what had been a fine outing.

One day off… then the Yankees invade Atlanta.
