We saw the photos, we read the articles, even a few short videos were posted by the media that were in Orlando, Florida.  Now Major League Bowhunter has posted an exclusive behind the scenes look at when Atlanta Braves Special Assistant coach, Chipper Jones was back in uniform at the Wild World of Sports complex.

This seven minute video captured everything from Chipper coaching Jeff Francoeur in the batting cages, to joking around with Gordon Beckham in the infield, to calling Freddie Freeman not sexy.

The Braves media captured Chipper on the field taking ground balls through photos, but in this video you get to hear what exactly he was saying as he was mic’d up throughout practice.

A few great quotes that I caught through this video…

“Not paying me enough to get in front of the ball, yet” – when he was at third base taking grounders with Adonis Garcia.

“That was sexy, you are not, but that was sexy” – when Freddie Freeman was taking batting practice and after he hit a good ball.

A few things we learned from this video…

Chipper may have helped Jeff Francoeur gain his roster spot this season

He was having no part in getting in front of the ball at third and he doesn’t miss the hard Spring Training infields

Many things on the field for Chipper are “sexy”…haha

The Braves hired Jones as a Special Assistant coach back in December 2015 to see if he enjoys being back at the field.  He described the position as “dipping my toe back into the water.”

Chipper has said he wants to spend more time with his family instead of living out of a suitcase.  Rightfully so, he did spend over 20 years doing so, but it would be great to see Chip back in a Braves uniform and in the dugout.
