Tim Hudson returning to Atlanta Braves’ games as part of TV crew

Tomahawk Take Editor’s Note: Tim Hudson is back with the Atlanta Braves!  No, he won’t be lacing up the cleats, he’ll be putting on the FOX Sports polo.  Hudson will join play-by-play announcers Chip Caray and analyst Joe Simpson as he debuts in the booth this Saturday when the Braves take on the St. Louis Cardinals.  Hudson, who spent nine years in Atlanta, will be rejoining the organization for the first time since leaving in 2013.

"Tim Hudson is returning to the Atlanta Braves – not to pitch, but to provide commentary on the National League team’s games.Hudson will be part of the television crew for FOX Sports South and FOX Sports Southeast for some of the Braves’ games that will be shown by those networks in 2016.“I’m thrilled to be joining FOX Sports South and FOX Sports Southeast this season in covering Braves baseball,” Hudson said in a press release. “It will be great to be back at Turner Field, and I appreciate the opportunity to try this new endeavor.”"

Braves considering Collier County for spring training

Tomahawk Take Editor’s Note: More rumors, more speculations to where the Braves will play their Spring Training games in the future.  The Braves would like to have a new home by the 2018 season and would likely want to decide as soon as possible to get everything rolling.  They’re also considering moving to North Port in Sarasota County and even staying at the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex in Disney…though a move is likely because they need to be closer to other teams.

"The Atlanta Braves could decide to play Grapefruit League games in Collier County, according to a Naples businessman.Gary Price of 5th Avenue Advisors told Fox 4 that he’s been talking to the Atlanta baseball team about moving their spring training home to Collier County for a few years. The team currently plays home spring training games in Orlando, but with most other teams playing farther south, Price said that the Braves are spending too much time on the bus traveling to away games.“We’re trying to build a compelling argument that we can provide the best location,” Price said. “We think it’s a great fit for our county, and it’s a way to change the economic diversity.”"
