Atlanta Braves To Only Win 58 Games In 2016
By Jeff Schafer
Braves Win Astronomically Low Number Of Games
The Atlanta Braves are two games into their 2016 season and still have yet to win a ball game. Yes, a few plays here or there and a couple calls going the other way, the Braves could be 2-0, but we’re not. Many picked the Braves to finish near or at the bottom of the NL East and one of the worst teams in the entire MLB.
Well, this information is going to break your hearts…the Atlanta Braves only win 58 games in 2016!!
It’s been a few years since I bought MLB The Show and I really haven’t thought or played this game in a long time. This year, I read the many reviews of the game and got hooked on video trailers and so I decided to make the purchase.
I jumped right into the game and did the first thing everyone does, simulated a season…everyone does that, right? My results are a little alarming for us Braves fans and something you may not want to look below on.
The Braves rosters we’re updated prior to the season, but I was able to download the newest rosters to get Jeff Francoeur and Drew Stubbs.
I set my lineups identically to the ones the Braves used on opening day and had my rotation the same five as they will use early this year. Strangely, no one was injured throughout the season so all players played the entire year.
Not a successful season for the Braves and I won’t bore you with all the series or months…it wasn’t pretty, that pretty much sums everything up.
Atlanta finished my simulated season 58-104. Here are the stats from the Braves players…**note, my bullpen wasn’t exactly what they have today

The obvious WTH is Ender Inciarte and Adonis Garcia’s offensive stats. Wow, hopefully those aren’t anywhere close to real life. Freddie Freeman and maybe Nick Markakis are the only numbers I’d be okay with.
These numbers won’t, or could, be anywhere close to the 2016 Braves.
We have 160 more games to see if my simulated MLB The Show 2016 season is anywhere in the ball park of what the actual MLB figures will be. But I do think if you’re reading this, you probably hope the real numbers won’t be near these.
