Hitter of the weekJoey Meneses took his second HOTW award with a huge week, going .500/.519/.692 with 3 runs, 3 doubles, a triple, and 7 RBI with a 1/2 BB/K ratio. He’s been one of the Braves system’s best hitters all season long with a triple slash of .330/.394/.467 with 15 doubles and 4 home runs, driving in 26 runs.

Honorable mention: Matt Tuiasosopo had a .412/.474/1.000 line and Anthony Recker went .385/.467/.923, but both were on the strengths of two big games each. My mention this week will go to Dustin Peterson, who was the consistent force in the Mississippi lineup this week, going .385/.448/.577, scoring 5 runs, with 2 doubles, a home run, and 5 runs batted in, with a 3/6 BB/K ratio.

Pitcher of the weekTouki Toussaint had a very good start this week, going 6 scoreless innings, allowing just 2 hits and 3 walks, while striking out 9. His 74 game score was by far the best in the system on the week. Honorable mention: Robert Whalen had the second best game score, but the pitcher that impressed me most was Max Fried, who was able to really attack the zone in his start for Rome with a game score one point lower than Whalen’s at 69 as he went 6 innings, allowing one unearned run on 4 hits and 2 walks, striking out 9 hitters.
