Atlanta Braves Trade Hunter Cervenka
Multiple Sources report that the Atlanta Braves made the first waiver trade this afternoon sending lefty Hunter Cervenka to the Miami Marlins.
What They Gave Up
The Braves acquired Cervenka from the Sugarland Skeeters at the beginning of July last year. He bounced back and forth between Pearl and Gwinnett without making it to Atlanta that season but got the call early in April and made his first appearance against the Nationals on April 12th.

Since that time Cervenka’s been one of the few dependable arms from a bullpen frequently a secure as a house of cards. This season he made 50 appearances throwing 34 innings with a 3.18 ERA and 1.265 WHIP, striking out 35 and walking 23, five intentionally while posting an ERA + of 128.
While Cervenka is hard on LHH who hit a stingy .145/.264/.242/.506 against him with 17 strikeouts in 62PA, he’s more than a Loogy. Right handed hitters managed just a .212/.379/.365/.744 line with 18 strikeouts in 52 PA.
