Tomahawk Take Editor’s Note: Maybe you missed the Atlanta Braves game yesterday…it did start at 2pm ET and you possibly were stuck in meetings.  If you did miss the game, we’ll you could probably be okay with it.  The Brewers came out on fire, as they scored two-runs in the 1st inning of Braves starter Roberto Hernandez.  Chris Carter blasted a two-run homer in the 1st and then the bleeding never stopped.  The Brewers scored in every single inning leading to a 11-3 win.  Braves fall to a 43-72 record and are now just three games from not having the worst record in the MLB.

Braves on wrong side of history in loss to Brewers

Tomahawk Take Editor’s Note: The 2016 Atlanta Braves have had quite the season – from a chicken bone stuck in a players throat, to a player getting arrested, to being the worst in baseball, to now being on the bad side of a history stat.  While watching this game, it felt like a record was going to come from it, because the Brewers runs never stopped.  The Braves bullpen which has been solid over the past few weeks, gave up five earned runs in four innings on Thursday.  A series that started with the Braves winning the first two games, ended with a split series.  At this point, I guess we shouldn’t complain about winning two or four…especially because the Braves have been playing better as of late.

"Atlanta’s pitching staff gave up at least one run in every inning of an 11-3 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers. The Brewers are the 19th team since 1900 to score in every inning it batted in during a nine-inning game, the Elias Sports Bureau said.“I don’t think I’ve been a part of that before,” Braves left fielder Jeff Francoeur said. “It was tough. You want to tack on runs every inning and they were able to do that against us. When you let that happen, you’re not going to win.”Making his second start of the season, Roberto Hernandez (1-1) allowed five runs in four innings."

Andruw Jones, John Scheurholz being inducted into Braves Hall of Fame

Tomahawk Take Editor’s Note: Two huge names in the Braves history are being inducted into the Braves Hall of Fame!  Want to see this event?  You can…it will take place on August 19th and tickets can be bought for $150.  This event will take place at the Hyatt Regency Ballroom, on Peachtree street in Atlanta.  Come out to support the former names (and one that is still around) that we loved to cheer on.

"Andruw Jones is one the most gifted and talented outfielders the Atlanta Braves has ever seen. He made catching the ball in center field ridiculously easy, leading him to win 10 straight Gold Gloves, an incredible and rare baseball feat. John Shuerholz is the man credited with compiling one of the greatest pitching staffs the Major Leagues ever witnessed and produced the Braves MLB title in1995 over the Cleveland Indians. Both men will be inducted into the Braves Hall of Fame on Aug. 19 at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta in downtown Atlanta for their indelible contributions to the Braves organization. The two team icons will also honored that evening in a pregame ceremony before the Braves play the Washington Nationals."
