The Atlanta Braves had a rough start to the night in game 2 against the Mets; having to play catch-up most the night.

The night got off to a very shaky start for the Atlanta Braves. Two early errors led to an early 2-0 lead for the Mets. Errors from Adonis Garcia (throw) and Jace Peterson (fielding) put Atlanta in an early hole.

Atlanta managed to get one back in the bottom of the first with a SAC fly from Matt Kemp. Ender Inciarte led off with a hustle double to Curtis Granderson. Matt Kemp lifted a SAC fly that brought home Inciarte after he made it to third.

The Braves got back on the board in the fourth on Nick Markakis‘s tenth home run of the year; tying the score at 2.

Mets slugger Yoenis Cespedes put the Mets back on top in the fifth with a homer of his own off Braves pitcher John Gant. The score sat at 3-2 Mets.

However, the Braves have a pretty powerful guy too. In the bottom of the sixth, Matt Kemp sent a no doubter over the left-center field wall for his 30th home run of the season. The score stood tied, again, at 3; an estimated at 447 feet and it left the bat at 110 MPH.

In the eighth, the Mets threatened to take the lead. A 2-out double from Wilmer Flores gave the Mets a chance. But a very nice play from Nick Markakis kept the score knotted.

On a base hit to right, Markakis came up gunning. Nick made a great, not perfect, but great throw to nail Flores at the plate.

Both the Mets and the Braves went quietly in the ninth and the Braves began their 27th extra inning affair.

The 10th for the Braves started with a single from Dansby Swanson who took second on a wild pitch from the Mets reliever. A.J. Pierzynski moved Swanson to third on a sharp ground ball to left.

Pinch hitter Tyler Flowers struck out and Inciarte popped out to shallow left. It was up to Adonis Garcia.

Garcia punched a clean single back up the middle to score Dansby from third, and the Braves complete the comeback. Garcia Walks it off in the tenth. Braves win 4-3.

It was a total team effort tonight as the Braves got just enough to down the Mets.

Atlanta looks to make it a series win tomorrow night as Williams Perez (2-2, 5.47) takes the mound for Atlanta. The Mets will counter with Seth Lugo (3-2, 2.38). First pitch is at 1:35 PM EST at Turner Field.
