He’s been #1 in our hearts and #2 on the field for the Braves, but now Dansby’s number is up.

So I am now cringing that some of y’all out there have just received an Atlanta Braves Swanson jersey in the mail for that special Christmas gift.

You might wanna see what the return policy is for that new apparel.

Whoops!

But then if you didn’t think this might happen, then you probably hadn’t noticed that #7 has been his typical playing number going back to (at least) Swanson’s Vanderbilt days.

Others had figured on that, too…

At the moment, mlb.com’s shopping pages still have the Dansby Swanson #2 jersey available… $278.99, but if you use code STRIKE1, you’ll get free shipping!

Of course, STRIKE2 would be once you realize – after the purchase – that #2 is now the WRONG number… unless you think having a collector’s item is the way to go.

Just thought we’d pass along that little public service message.

Merry Christmas y’all!
