Fans of ‘Parks and Recreation’ will recognize this.  It’s about time that the Atlanta Braves embraced it – albeit in a new form that will certainly give rise to personal achievement and team greatness.

As our Atlanta Braves now have a Swanson in their midst, it is incumbent on them as a team to mold together around a common bond that seals their collective resolve to strive together in a manner befitting their high calling.

I’d like to think that Ron Swanson might have put it that way.

One of the signature elements of Parks and Recreation is the ‘Swanson Pyramid of Greatness,’ a fine-tuned, perfectly calibrated set of guidelines for personal achievement.

The notion of updating Ron Swanson’s version for baseball purposes makes perfect sense, of course, with the show’s writers obviously having a soft spot for the sport.  I’m pretty sure their lawyers would go for it, at least.

So without further ado, we present for your review the New Swanson Pyramid of Greatness… with all due apologies to P&R.
