Watch Chipper Jones hilariously settle into new role in the Braves’ ticket office

Tomahawk Take Editor’s Note:  How good was this?  I’ll go ahead and share it, I had a big smile on my face while and after watching this.  Chip and Dale are “selling tickets” for the Braves new ball park.

By the way…Single game tickets are on sale today!  Friday, March 10th starting at 10:00am ET.

If you’re looking to go attend the first ever Braves game at SunTrust Park, you may like to jump on these tickets very early.  These tickets will go fast and be resold for an extremely over priced margin.

I’m planning on attending the next round of home games, so that’s the tickets I’ll be going after.

"Chipper Jones is settling nicely into a new role with the Braves – in the ticket office. And he really is pushing those seats near third base at the new SunTrust Park. The future Hall of Famer – he’ll appear on the ballot for the first time later this year – is part of a clever new sales campaign for the team with which he played his entire 19-season MLB career. Here he is settling into his cubicle and getting down to business"

Braves Minter To Throw Thursday

Tomahawk Take Editor’s Note: This is great news—almost as good as the Ozzie Albies being cleared to play again news.  The Braves left-handed relief pitcher has been dealing with left forearm soreness for all of the 2017 Spring Training.  He has yet to appear in a game, but we heard news yesterday saying he has started to throw and felt great afterward.

The 23-year-old was expected to have a chance to make the Atlanta Braves opening day roster if he had a great ST.  That opportunity is probably pretty slim now.  With only 20 days left in the 2017 Spring Training and he’s not yet thrown a bullpen, I hardly doubt he can break camp on the OD roster.

Last season, Minter pitched for the Braves Double-A, Single-A+ and Single-A teams.  He dominated those hitters and had a combined 1.30 ERA in 31 appearances with 47 strikeouts compared to just 11 walks and 18 hits.

This is a guy we can definitely see at some point in the 2017 season…possibly when we make few of those famous John Coppolella trades.

"Minter (forearm) has been officially diagnosed with radial tunnel syndrome, and while he’s hoping to play catch Thursday there’s no timetable for his return to the mound, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports. “It feels fine pitching,” Minter said. “It’s just kind of after the fact, it gets irritated. So, we’re just taking it slow … I’m already starting to feel better. It should be cleared up right away.”The 23-year-old lefty is hoping to be the next fireballing prospect to make his mark at the back of the Braves‘ bullpen after posting an eye-popping 31:6 K:BB in 18.2 innings for Double-A Mississippi last season, but Minter didn’t pitch at all in 2015 due to Tommy John surgery, so the team will give him all the time he needs to get his arm in shape. Expect him to begin the season in the high minors, but if he’s healthy and blowing away hitters once again, he could be looking at a quick promotion."
