The long flight from Miami to Toronto without a day of rest didn’t seem to both the Braves Monday night, especially the offense.

The Atlanta Braves (14-21) got back on track Monday night in game one of their inter-league series at the Toronto Blue Jays, as the Braves get a 10-6 win.

Bartolo Colon bounced back with five solid innings, giving up three runs (two earned) on seven hits, striking out a batter and only walking two.

Colon’s performance was overshadowed, however, as the Braves bats were on fire north of the border, racking up 13 hits in the game.

All but two Atlanta batters had at least one hit in the game, led by a 4-for-4, three run, one walk night from Matt Kemp.

Nick Markakis went 2-for-4 with a run and three RBI, and Adonis Garcia also had a 2-for-4 night, scoring twice and driving in a pair of runs.

Another notable performance was another solid night by Dansby Swanson, who continued to help his low season batting average with a pair of hits in four tries. Swanson drove in a pair and scored once.

Freddie Freeman had a 1-for-5 performance, but drove in three runs on the night with home run number 13 on the season in the sixth inning.

The Braves bullpen gave up three runs in four innings of relief between Krol, Motte and Collmenter, but Atlanta’s offense had provided plenty of padding throughout the game.

The win bumps Colon to 2-4 on the season and helps the Braves maintain a slight lead over the Miami Marlins in the National League East standings.
