Braves option Jose Peraza to minors

Tomahawk Take Editor’s Note: Top Braves prospect, Jose Peraza, has been sent back to the minors.  This move came at no surprise because of his lack of play above the Single-A level and he didn’t have the solid Spring Training everyone was anticipating.  It was a lot to ask for out of the 20-year-old that was facing mostly MLB pitchers.  Everyone was talking about this kid and Braves Manager Fredi Gonzalez mentioned the pressure may have gotten to him a little.

"The Braves have trimmed six players from their spring training roster, including top prospect Jose Peraza.Peraza, regarded as the team’s future starting second baseman, was optioned Monday to Triple-A Gwinnett. Peraza had only one hit in 16 at-bats in spring training games."
