Baseball is a funny sport

Todd Cunningham goes 1 for 3 and his batting average dropped over 100 points.

A.J. Pierzynski went 1 for 3 and his batting average rose.

Unfortunately, the Braves only managed 4 hits (3 BB, 9 K) vs. Tampa Bay last night, despite putting together a 3-run inning in the 2nd.  That wasn’t enough as Mike Foltynewicz could not keep damage from spreading in the 3rd, 4th and 5th innings.

Seems that St. Petersburg team is more scrappy than out Braves… and they’ve been doing it longer and better.
