All right, so the Braves are now 0-1 in games tha Freddie Freeman doesn’t play in.  Yet starter Shelby Miller opted to take all of the blame onto himself for last night’s loss.  He was sailing along fairly comfortably last night until the sixth inning when the combination of an error on Juan Uribe and his own inability to finish the inning ended up finishing off Atlanta.

Atlanta is now finished up with Boston, instagram, and Brock Holt (Hallelujah!).  They now enter a tough two weeks … well, they’re all tough, it seems… against the Mets, Nationals, Pirates, and the Mets again.

Once again, the bullpen proved to be at least adequate last night:  one earned run in 3.1 innings and 2 walks (all of that by David Aardsma).  But the offense didn’t have a solution for Clay Buchholz.  The ball was in play most of the night (he struck out just 3 in 7 innings), but the hits were generally spread out with key hits not coming last night (or robbed in some cases) – a rarity as of late.
