The Ballpark Awakens: Calling all Atlanta Braves and Star Wars fans!!!

facebooktwitterreddit

Pardon me, but the geek in me is about to sneak out…

OH!

Emm!

GEEE!

On Friday July 3, 2015 the Atlanta Braves will be hosting their annual Star Wars Night as the team takes on division rival the Philadelphia Phillies.

Not only do you get to see the best team in baseball destroy a once proud organization, but you will also get to partake in an annual ritual of cosplay.

The organization is encouraging everyone to come out to the ballpark dressed as their favorite Star Wars Character as you watch the game.

But wait….. it doesn’t end there, there’s more.

The Braves have special ticket packages that allow you to be a part of the on-field pregame costume parade (you must arrive at the Hank Aaron Ramp by 6:00 p.m.). So your feet gets to actually walk on the same dirt that the legendary hitting God Chipper Jones stepped on, or the same grass that Eric Young Jr performed his pregame yoga, and by the same infield that the human vacuum/human highlight reel Andrelton Simmons patrols nightly.

But wait…. It doesn’t end there (oh the excitement), there’s more.

In that special ticket pricing order you will be given a special voucher to take to fan central to be awarded one of the most wonderful, magnificent and craziest bobble head souvenir to-date: a special edition Jason Grilli bobble head figure flying a rebel fighter.

But wait…. It STILL doesn’t end there. (I can’t take anymore)…. but there’s MORE!

It’s FRIDAY! So immediately after the game everyone will be privilege to see the “best fireworks show in the south” ~Jim Powell , FOR FREEEEEEEEEE!

This day will be Death Star sized awesome!

Tickets start at only $25 and to add icing to the cake and ice cream, a portion of ticket sales will be donated to the national program Stand Up to Cancer. That’s a win-win-win for all!

A great game, a great souvenir, a great fireworks show, all while playing dressed up!?!?!

Could it get any better?

I doubt it. But I would love to see them try.

Hope to see you guys there at the ballpark.

May the force be with you… or the dark side, if you are into that sort of stuff.
