The Atlanta Braves took the series from Diamondbacks on a walk off homer by Cameron Maybin in the tenth.

Miller Madness

When Shelby Miller pitches fans have come to expect a low scoring game and today was no exception.  Miller had a shaky start with a 23 pitch first inning beginning with two walks. He recovered to coax a fly ball down the left field line where Michael Bourn made an amazing catch for the second out.

Miller ended the threat and the inning with his second strike out; it would be the last threat the Snakes would created for a long time.

From the second inning on Miller was untouchable. Typically however the Braves left what little offense they have in the storage locker.

It took five innings for the Braves to get on the board and even then it was a really odd series of events.

Ruby De La Rosa was cruising in the bottom of the fifth when Jace Peterson led off with a single. Joey Terdoslavich lifted an easy fly to center field for the first out but Andrelton Simmons doubled moving Peterson to third.

De La Rose walked Miller on five pitches to load the bases but induced a lowly hit ground ball to short  from Michael Bourn. The normally sure handed Nick Ahmed misplayed allowing Peterson to score and leaving the bases loaded.

It looked like an opportunity to break the games open but Cameron Maybin struck out and Nick Markakis uncharacteristically swung at the first pitched and hit a lazy fly ball to left.
