31 Days Until 2015 Is Concluded for the Atlanta Braves

31 days and 28 games folks!  That’s how long we have until the 2015 Atlanta Braves season is behind us.  It’s been a world-wind season for the Front Office, players, and fans.  But, it’s almost behind us!

If you’re still watching the games (I continue to tune in every night, but the disappointment continues to grow), the Braves have a very tough schedule upon us.

More from Tomahawk Take

Nationals for the next 4 games in Washington.

Phillies for a 3 game series in Philadelphia.

The Mets at Turner Field for a 4 game weekend series.

Blue Jays then come into town for a weekday 3 game series.

Phillies are back in town on the 18-20 for a 3 game series.

Braves travel back to New York to take on the Mets for 3 games.

Marlins are next in Miami for a 3 game weekend series.

Then the Braves stay home for the rest of the 2015 season with the Nationals for 3 games and Cardinals 3 games.

Season ends October 4th with a 3:05pm game at the Ted.

This time of the year, teams and fans are monitoring the Playoff race (or fantasy football).  Not the Braves fanbase.  The Braves have fallen off the map – HARD – and are in the running for the potential #1 draft pick in 2016.

Baseball is a game of moves, but no team has made more transactions than the Braves.

It all started on September 22, 2014 when the Braves fired former General Manager Frank Wren.  Then on October 23, 2014 the Braves announced John Hart will be the President of Baseball Operations.

Many fans are calling for current Braves Manager Fredi Gonzalez to be fired, but he isn’t going anywhere.  He just signed an extension back in July to be the Braves Manager through the 2016 season and a club option for 2017.

The Braves record with Gonzalez as the coach is as follows…

2011 – 89-73

2012 – 94-68

2013 – 96-66

2014 – 79-83

2015 – 54-80 (still 28 games remain)

The Braves won the division in 2013, but before that the last time the Braves won the division was in 2005.

When experts predicted the Braves to only win 70 games in 2015, most fans laughed.

To win 70 games now??

The Braves would have to go 16-12 in the remaining games.  I don’t think that’s happening.

Well, readers…I’m here to tell you it’s almost over!  If you’re onboard with the John Hart plan, you understand what the Braves are doing.  If not, you’re two feet off the ledge.

Braves will contend in 2016 and should be World Series bound in 2017!!
