Kelly Johnson could return to the Braves

Tomahawk Take Editor’s Note: Could a third stint with the Atlanta Braves be in the works for Kelly Johnson?  David O’Brien is saying there is better than a 50/50 chance the Braves bring him back.  The counter move for the Braves would be the release of either Michael Bourn or Nick Swisher.  With odds probably will Swisher being released since Johnson would pretty much overlap what Swisher can do on the field and at the plate.

"Kelly Johnson opened the 2015 season with the Braves before moving to the Mets on July 24 as part of a four-player trade. Johnson also began his career with Atlanta back in 2005 and played there through 2009.The Braves have entered into full rebuilding mode under new president John Hart and Johnson turns 34 years old next month, but there is talk of a reunion for 2016.MLB.com’s Mark Bowman tweeted Tuesday evening that Johnson and the Braves are having “continued discussions” about a contract, and David O’Brien of the Atlanta Journal Constitution says it’s a “better than 50/50 chance” the two sides work out a deal."

Panasonic working with Denver, Atlanta Braves

Tomahawk Take Editor’s Note: Another example of how the Braves new ball park facility will be one of the best for fans starting in 2017.  Not only will Panasonic design the large high-end LED scoreboard display, they will also build a ribbon fascia, digital signage, and video monitors throughout the park.  Also, they will install security cameras and an eco and sustainability plan.  This is a huge partnership with Panasonic and the Atlanta Braves.

"In Atlanta, Panasonic will provide a massive LED scoreboard for Suntrust Park, expected to open in 2017. The company will also supply the wraparound lighting displays in the bowl of the stadium as well as some “security and communications installations not just in the stadium but in the adjacent corporate development in that area,” Fannon said.Panasonic has also provided the world’s largest 4K screen in the world, the 90-foot tall display at Churchill Downs, and the largest HD display at the Big Hoss TV at the Texas Motor Speedway near Dallas. “That is a good example of growing based on current businesses,” Fannon said.Another partnership is one with Facebook, which along with Panasonic internally developed 100 Gigabyte “Freeze-ray” Blu-ray Disc arrays for use in its data centers. Newly designed 300-GB arrays are expected to be deployed later this year. A “giant cold storage system,” it stores massive amounts of data that is “accessible but not always on,” Fannon said."
