Tomahawk Take Editor’s Note: The Atlanta Braves fall to the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday night/Thursday morning.  Milwaukee has taken the first two games at Turner Field as the Braves fall to 12-33 and the Brewers improve to 20-26.  Not a lot to say about this one folks, other than Chase d’Arnaud should continue to be a starter for the Braves.  Also, how many challenges did Brewers manager Craig Counsell have on Wednesday??  Man, it felt like more than he should have had.

Braves lose 3-2 in 13 innings!

Brewers beat Braves in 13 innings after Villar single

Tomahawk Take Editor’s Note: Cover your kids eyes, parents…the Braves are now 2-19 at Turner Field in 2016.  Not the best way to send off your 20 year old stadium.  The game lasted four hours and 51-minutes and the crowd at the Ted was said to be 12,869, but by the 13th innings maybe 1,000 fans were in attendance.  Casey Kelly pitched fantastic in relief for the Braves as he was suppose to be the Braves starter on Saturday.  The 26-year-old pitched four relief innings allowing five hits, three walks and one run (the winning run).  On a night where he wasn’t suppose to pitch, he threw 76 pitches.  Brian Snitker used the Braves entire bullpen in the 6th, 7th and 8th innings as the Braves had eight relief pitchers throw in this game.

"Villar’s RBI hit came off Casey Kelly (0-2), who had been scheduled to start for the Braves on Saturday. Instead, he wound up throwing 77 pitches over four innings after the Braves used up their entire bullpen by the end of the ninth — just three days after an 85-pitch outing.“The kid was unbelievable,” Braves interim manager Brian Snitker said. “It’s a shame we couldn’t get him the win.”Kelly got out of his first jam, striking out Chris Carter, but he couldn’t escape when the Brewers filled the bases again in the 13th with no outs. Martin Maldonado grounded into a force at home to give the Braves a brief reprieve, but Villar came through."
