Tuesday’s contest showed that Jake Peavy isn’t quite done, but the Braves’ offense certainly bolstered his confidence in the process

I will not belabor the points today – Jeff’s recap from last night has the details for those interested.  But here’s the takeaways:

  • One hit.  That from Tyler Flowers‘ bat.
  • The Braves are 6-7 now in their last 13 games… certainly an improvement.
  • The Braves offense is being carried by hitters named Flowers, Beckham, Francoeur, and d’Arnaud.  Let that sink in for a bit.
  • The pitching Atlanta has really is as good as advertised… if an offense can be found, then the future is good.
  • Inciarte, Markakis, and Freeman just can’t be this bad forever, right?

Welcome to June!  Here’s the box score….
