SunTrust Park: Your guide to stress-free parking for a Braves game

Tomahawk Take Editor’s Note: The Atlanta Braves — and every media outlet out there — continue to preach about getting to the park early, knowing where you’re going and most importantly buy your PARKING PASS BEFORE SHOWING UP!!

Traffic, parking, tailgating are all major concerns for baseball fans and as we head into the new adventure at SunTrust Park, we’re about to see all these issues.  Make sure you know your route before heading out — I85 is still closed — be positive your parking lot your heading to allows tailgating and most importantly buy your PARKING PASS BEFORE SHOWING UP!!

Everywhere I look, I continue to see this prepaid parking pass online that they’re pretty much making fans buy for tonight.  It seems like a necessity so go ahead and buy that pass, ha…sorry I’ll stop now.

"There are about 14,000 parking spots compared to Turner Field’s almost 8,700 spaces. Even still, the Braves suggest you buy your parking pass online ahead of time. The Braves have said to keep an eye out for some lots that will open for specific games."

"Below is a map and even more information showing where to park at SunTrust, how much parking is for a Braves game and other ways to avoid an in-car shouting match. Please note that some lots accessible without a prepaid parking pass."
