The draft is over, but the drama is far from complete. There is heavy lifting to be done now to get these new players signed and on their way to Rookie camps.

While Brian Bridges and crew can now take perhaps a full week off before hitting the road again to start work on 2018, the Atlanta Braves now have to see how to get the new additions under contract.

We will keep track of the news of these events, of course, but so that you can keep tabs on this information with us, we will have the tables below to track players reported to have been signed, and how the Braves are doing with respect to their draft pool dollars.

The Breakdown

For the sake of sheer size, this data is broken up into two tables:  one for information about the draftees, the second for the signing information.  This probably won’t fit on a phone screen, and I apologize for that… but for those with tablets and ‘regular’ computer screens, it should prove useful.

If you are into Pick numbers in addition to Round numbers for the players, I excluded that from the above table for sake of saving one column, but here is the information:

  • Round 1 – Pick 3
  • Round 2 – Pick 41
  • Round 3 – Pick 80
  • add 30 for every round thereafter:  Round 40 = 80 +  37*3 => 1190
