After a pair of walkoff wins over the visiting Marlins over the weekend, the Braves hosted the Giants Monday night in the first of four.

Atlanta (32-37) got a masterful performance from a veteran starter, and a boatload of offense from just about everyone in a 9-0 shutout win over San Francisco.

Monday’s matchup started as a pitcher’s duel, remaining scoreless through two-and-a-half until Johan Camargo broke up Johnny Cueto‘s early no hit bid with a leadoff single. He would score on an Ender Inciarte double later in the inning to put the Braves up 1-0.

The Braves added another run in the fourth inning as Matt Adams blasted his 11th home run off the Chop House in right field to make it 2-0 Atlanta.

R.A. Dickey had worked out to trouble early in the game, but settled in for a real gem. He sat down 13 consecutive before hitting Buster Posey with a pitch to lead off the 7th. Dickey got back on track, however, and retired the next three to end the inning and continue his dominance.

Dickey was taken down in favor of a pinch hitter in the bottom half of the seventh. He finished the night with no runs on three hits through seven innings. The kuckleballer struck out six and walked one, also hitting a batter.

Arodys Vizcaino came on in relief in the eighth for Atlanta, giving up a leadoff hit. He was able to retire the next three to maintain a 2-0 lead for the Braves, however.

Adams struck again for the Braves in the eighth, scoring Brandon Phillips on an RBI single. It was his second RBI of the game and put Atlanta up 3-0.

Tyler Flowers came to the plate with runners on second and third and walked to load the bases with a pair of outs. Dansby Swanson then stepped into the box and drove in two more runs with line drive single to right-center field on a 3-2 count to make it 5-0 Braves.

Johan Camargo knocked in another run to make it 6-0 Atlanta, followed by a long Danny Santana three-run homer to make it 9-0 Braves.

Luke Jackson came on in relief in the ninth inning and was able to take down San Francisco 1-2-3 on consecutive fly balls to put the game away for the Braves.
