Way back at the end of March, we launched a contest in which respondents would try to guess how various aspects of the Braves’ season would go.  It’s time to grade those papers.

It’s been hard to gauge the Atlanta Braves over the last 3 seasons.

It’s tough to say.  In 2016, the team finished with the 3rd worst record in baseball.  Last year it was 5th worst.  Yesterday 8th worst.

So while that is improving, there’s also the part about having a lot of your roster (from Opening Day) filled with ‘transition’ players… those that would not have long-term time with the club.

That part may be changing for 2018, but it is something we expect to see play out in detail over the next 3 months or so.

The contest was introduced in this post from April 1st.  It wasn’t a joke, but seeing some of the results today might make you think otherwise.

8 days later, we reviewed your inputs to note the trends.

For today… it is a review of (1) the contest, (2) my own guesses at what might constitute reasonable contest questions, and (3) your responses.

Let’s dig in…
