Braves Inciarte wins 2017 CF Gold Glove
The Atlanta Braves roster won’t be getting many awards this offseason, but it was announced on Tuesday night that their outfielder won the 2017 centerfield Gold Glove award!
Ender Inciarte takes the hardware home for the National League Gold Glove for the second consecutive year. The 27-year-old had a fantastic season for the Braves and his peers took notice.
Atlanta’s stud outfielder took on Reds Billy Hamilton and Nationals Michael Taylor in this category.
Not only did Ender have a great season in the field, but also at the plate. He went to his first All-Star game as well as became the fourth player in Braves history to record 200 hits in a single season.
The last Braves player to win back-to-back Gold Gloves was Andrelton Simmons in 2013 and 2014. Prior to that, the last to do it was Andruw Jones…who won 10 straight NL Gold Gloves awards from 1998 to 2007. Maybe Inciarte can go on a run like that!
Congratulations to Ender Inciarte!!
