Ronald Acuna has been something special so far for the Atlanta Braves and his resume just got a bit bigger
At only 19 years of age, Atlanta Braves top prospect Ronald Acuna has had an explosive season. Starting at Single A Advance, Acuna quickly moved through the system all the way to Triple A Gwinnett, hitting a season average of .325!
Now he’s tearing up the Arizona Fall League with the Peoria Javelinas along with his fellow Braves teammates Alex Jackson and Austin Riley. On Saturday, the AFL awarded Acuna with the MVP award, becoming THE youngest MVP in the league’s history.

For the Peorias, Acuna has a .329/.414/.639 slash-line and league-leading 7 home runs in 23 games.
The Venezuelan teen has been getting his recognition during his time in the AFL, even getting the popular vote over Washington Nationals Victor Robles.
In a recent article by Jonathan Mayo, he wrote, “While there were no responses that thought it was an easy call, it still is noteworthy that 30 of the 45 total respondents came down on Acuna’s side.”
MLB Pipeline even dropped a poll on Twitter where the numbers sided with Acuna by a wide margin.
There is argument that when it is time to vote and rank, Acuna could be the top prospect in all of MLB. Other things being said about the young star is he could be on the major league roster for Opening Day, something that fans would be very excited about.
Acuna and the Peorias are currently taking on Robles and the Mesa Solar Sox for the championship game. To show how impressive he is, Acuna already has 2 hits and 3 RBIs.

If the Peorias win, that would be another reason to celebrate for Acuna.
