Atlanta Braves: What’s the worst jersey you’ve gotten for the holidays?
By Jeff Schafer
Do you fall into this Braves category?
It’s already been five days since Christmas. Can you believe that? Where do the days go?! This was a post I wanted to get up earlier because I thought it was freakin hilarious.
First off, I’ll say I’m thankful for every gift that I receive on Christmas. I am very fortunate to have a great group of friends and family. But, I will tell you one story from this past holiday.
Remember the trade on December 16th? Yeah, the one that the Braves received Charlie Culberson, Adrian Gonzalez, Scott Kazmir, Brandon McCarthy and cash in exchange for Matt Kemp? Of course you do, everyone does. Well, except for my loving mother.
Yup, on Christmas morning I opened up a Matt Kemp shirt-jersey or as some call a shirzeys. It was actually a pretty sweet shirt…here is the link to see the shirt she got me. She paid the full $35.99 for the shirt.
Though it was a very great gesture from my mom to get me something of the Atlanta Braves, it had to be a Kemp shirt.
This instance got me thinking a little. What’s your worst jersey you received on Christmas?
OR what’s the worst jersey you have in your closet? Go ahead and let us hear what you’ve got in the comments field.
A very jerseys I still have that I probably shouldn’t…
A white #22 Jason Heyward jersey
A white #25 Troy Glaus jersey
A red #7 Jeff Francouer jersey
A blue #7 Jeff Francouer shirzeys
A baby blue #23 Matt Diaz shirzeys
A blue #8 Justin Upton shirzeys
Next: #Braves: Age is just a number, right?
Yeah, it’s about time to get rid of some of these. I still have a soft spot in my heart for Frenchy and he’s back with the Braves broadcast team so I may still hang onto his. But the rest can go.
So go ahead, what’s your worst Braves jersey or a Christmas story
