Braves will offer a modern way to enter their facilities

How about this?  In 2018, the Atlanta Braves will now offer express entrance lanes to fans at SunTrust Park!  There will be two location gates that offer this — the third base gate and the Chop House Gate in right field.

How are they doing this?  It’s through a program called CLEAR.  It’s used based on your fingertip identification.  You can sign up for the CLEAR membership for a price of $179 annual fee…with discounted prices for Delta’s SkyMiles program members.

Backed up lines as far as you can see to enter stadiums are awful.  This will greatly improve the process of entering.

The New York Yankees and the Colorado Rockies started this program at MLB stadiums in 2015.  The Miami Marlins and the New York Mets jumped on board the train in 2016 and the Detroit Tigers signed on in 2017.  This upcoming season, the Braves, the Oakland A’s and the Seattle Mariners will all add this cool, modern way to going through the gates.

The program CLEAR is used in 24 United States airports as well to speed up the process of going through security.

“Sports venues are starting to look more and more like airports from a security and experience perspective,” Lauren Stangel, CLEAR’s head of sports and events, told the media on Thursday.  “Baseball stadiums, in particular, you have 40,000 to 50,000 people entering through the gates, almost 50 percent of which come between 15 minutes before and first pitch.”

If you have season tickets to the Atlanta Braves, you should definitely look into making this purchase.  It’s an extra cost, but how much your time costs you?  I’d rather fork up the $179 and enter the gates as quickly as possible.  The long lines give me anxiety.  That’s just me though.

The Atlanta Braves kick off the regular season at SunTrust Park on March 29th against the Philadelphia Phillies.  The Braves will be playing two games at SunTrust prior to this on March 26th and March 27th.  They play the Yankees in the final Spring Training game and they have the Futures game on the 27th.
