The Atlanta Braves Freddie Freeman and Kurt Suzuki knocked home runs in blow-up win while the pitching was almost lights-out.

The Atlanta Braves were down a game in the series against the Marlins after losing 2-0 on Friday. Sean Newcomb took the mound for the Braves as they looked to even the series.

He pitched another game where he allowed 2 runs or less, this time allowing one run while striking out four on Saturday. The Braves literally woke up after mustering on four hits in the shut-out loss on Friday.

Miami scored first though in the 2nd inning when Justin Bour started with a walk. Cameron Maybin then popped the first pitch he saw for a double. Two batters later, Bryan Holaday hit a grounder that scored Bour.

That would be the ONLY run that the Braves allowed the entire game. The Braves eventually busted the game open and a lot of it came from the youngsters.

Nick Markakis led off the 5th inning with a hit. Suzuki then lined into a fielders choice that was originally an attempted double play but Miguel Rojas dropped the ball.

Inciarte then hit one past Bour at 1st. Starlin Castro fielded the ball and tried to throw it to either one of Bour and Urena. The ball missed them allowing Suzuki and Inciarte to advance to 2nd and 3rd with only one out.

Up next was Johan Camargo, who singled past 1st into right, allowing Suzuki to score while Inciarte moved to third. Tie game.

Dansby Swanson followed with a bunt single that scored Inciarte. Everybody was safe as Inciarte slid in to score easy.

The Braves now had the lead 2-1. Next up was Newcomb and his sac bunt moved the runners over.

Ozzie Albies followed up with a single to right to score 2 runs, but got thrown out at 2nd. Albies purposely try to make it a double so that they would cut the throw, allowing both runners to score. The Braves ended the inning with a 4-1 lead.

In top of 6th, both Inciarte and Nick Markakis ran into each trying to make the play. Markakis managed caught the ball and held on for the out.

Late Game Power

In the 7th inning with Jarlin Garcia pitching for Marlins, the Braves decided to tackled in some more runs via rocket power. Leading off, Kurt Suzuki blasted a fast ball high into left for a solo home run.

Inciarte popped a single into left for 3 hits on the night. Camargo then doubled to deep center as Inciarte ran home to score another run.

For the bottom of the 8th, Ronald Acuna drew a lead-off walk. Next, Freddie Freeman launched a big one to deep right for a 2 run home run. Braves extend their lead to 8-1.

The Marlins would essentially not get a chance to retrieve the stones at all. Shane Carle and Dan Winkler came out and absolutely owned the 7th and 8th inning, 6 up 6 down between them. Jesse Biddle came on for the 9th and the only damage he allowed was a single to Bour.

Biddle eventually finished the inning and ended the game for the Braves 8-1 win.
