Atlanta Braves Ag Report: Kyle Wright has the right stuff Monday night

In a new daily segment for Atlanta Braves fans and minor league aficionados, we will have a daily minor league report here on Tomahawk Take. Enjoy!

Gwinnett Stripers 6, Louisville Bats 0

Kyle Wright was absolutely dominant on the mound for the Stripers. Completely dominating Louisville all night, Wright finished with 7 scoreless innings, allowing just one hit and one walk, striking out 8. Chase Whitley and Adam McCreery each tossed a scoreless inning to finish out the game.

Only Danny Santana had multiple hits on the game, with a pair of singles. Rio Ruiz had a double and two walks. Phil Gosselin had a single and two walks.

Florida Fire Frogs 3, St. Lucie Mets 1

While Kyle Wright got the (deserved) headlines in the farm system, Huascar Ynoa could be argued to have had the better game, as he went 6 innings for the Fire Frogs, allowing one hit and walking two, striking out 7.

William Contreras continued his hot hitting since his promotion to Florida, knocking out a double and a single while drawing a walk on the day to bring his average with Florida up to .375. Braxton Davidson hit a home run and drew a walk. Grey son Jenista had a single and a walk. CJ Alexander stole a base.

Rome Braves 5, West Virginia Power 4

The Rome Braves walked off with a win, scoring 3 runs in the bottom of the 9th after the Power scored 3 in the top of the inning. Alan Rangel had a very solid start, going 7 1/3 innings, allowing a single run on 5 hits and 3 walks, striking out 4.

AJ Graffanino pushed his Rome average over .400 with a 4-5 night with a double. Drew Lugbauer and Hagen Owenby each had a pair of singles. Justin Dean and Jefrey Ramos each had a single and a walk.

Pulaski put together a 5-run rally in the bottom of the 8th, but they couldn’t push the final run across to tie the game. Dilmer Mejia went 6 innings, allowing 3 runs on 6 hits and 3 walks, striking out 6.

Luis Mejia had four singles for Danville. Greg Cullen slapped three singles. Henry Quintero had a double and a triple. Brett Langhorne had a double and a single. Carlos Bauerga had a pair of singles.

The Phillies West jumped out with 5 runs in the first inning and the game was essentially done at that point. Gabriel Rodriguez did strike out the side in his inning of relief. Logan Brown had three singles and a walk. Ray Hernandez had a pair of doubles. Jeremy Fernandez had a pair of singles and a stolen base. Brandon Chapman had a double.

DSL Braves 3, DSL Dodgers Robinson 2

The Braves were efficient, scoring their 3 runs on just 3 hits to get the win Monday. Eudi Asencio made the start and went 4 innings, allowing an unearned run on 2 hits and 3 walks, striking out 2. Carlos Paraguate hit a double and stole a base. Eliezel Stevens walked twice and stole a base.
