Atlanta Braves Ag Report: Braves affiliates all lose on a rough Monday

LHP Filyer Sanchez recalled from Danville to Florida

Charlotte Knights 3, Gwinnett Stripers 1

Gwinnett scored first on an Austin Riley first inning solo home run, but they were unable to push anything else across, managing just one more hit while Charlotte uber-prospect Eloy Jimenez went 4-4 to lead his team to a victory.

Wes Parsons did have a solid start, going 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 7 hits and 2 walks, striking out 7.

Biloxi Shuckers 7, Mississippi Braves 1

Mississippi jumped out to an early lead, but Biloxi rallied, polishing off the win with 4 runs over the final two innings. Ricardo Sanchez made the start for the M-Braves, going 5 innings, allowing 3 runs, 2 earned, on 6 hits and a walk, striking out 1.

Tyler Neslony and Tyler Marlette each had a single and a walk. Daniel Lockhart had a double.

Tampa Tarpons 3, Florida Fire Frogs 1

An incredible pitching matchup between Joey Wentz and Deivi Garcia was spoiled when Wentz left after 2 1/3 innings. Garcia held up his end, dominating Florida, with 8 strikeouts over 5 2/3 scoreless innings.

Riley Delgado had three singles. Garrison Schwartz had a pair of singles. Braxton Davidson and CJ Alexander each had a pair of walks. Drew Waters and Greyson Jenista each had a single and a walk.

Greenville jumped out early on Rome and held the lead as Rome attempted to come back. AJ Graffanino had a double and a single. Derian Cruz had a pair of singles. Marcos Almonte and Shean Michel each had a double.

Bristol Pirates 3, Danville Braves 0

Danville ran into a buzzsaw on the mound on Monday, getting shut out. Jose Montilla did have an excellent start for Danville, going 5 scoreless innings, allowing 5 hits and 2 walks, striking out 5.

The Danville offense was led by Henry Quintero and Carlos Baerga with a double apiece. Nicholas Vizcaino had a stolen base.
