After having a prospect class that was the talk of the Arizona Fall League in 2017, the Atlanta Braves have two representatives in the AFL Fall Stars game tonight

The Atlanta Braves farm system has been highly regarded for some time now. Tonight at 8 PM Eastern, the Braves will send just two representatives, Cristian Pache and Kyle Muller, to the Arizona Fall League Fall Stars game. You can tune into the game on MLB Network or MLB.com.

Certainly, Pache and Muller are worthy of the roster, and Pache’s defense alone is worthy of him being a starter on the West squad, but it is notable that the Atlanta Braves could actually claim a few snubs from the roster. Pache has a .290/.318/.387 line at the plate while Muller has a 1.13 ERA and 11 strikeouts over 8 innings thus far, pitching primarily out of relief after a long season of innings.

Braxton Davidson (remember him?!) has been on a power barrage over the last 10 days, and he’s moved into the AFL home run lead with 5. For reference, Ronald Acuna, Jr. led the AFL in home runs over the full session in 2017 with just 7 home runs. Davidson currently is hitting .250/.377/.614.

One of the guys getting plenty of note from scouts has been Ray-Patrick Didder, who has a .270/.400/.270 line with 5 stolen bases in just 37 at bats. He’s flashed his speed, a good eye, and a quality glove at multiple positions in workouts and games. Many have discussed how Didder could impact the Atlanta Braves 2019 bench plans, which would be a huge jump for him after a solid, albeit not spectacular showing.

Lefty reliever Thomas Burrows has been making a big statement in the AFL. Over 9 1/3 innings, he’s posted a 1.93 ERA and a 1.18 WHIP with a 3/11 BB/K ratio. Many that have reported on Burrows have mentioned that he has the look of a guy who could impact the major league bullpen in 2019.

The Fall Stars game is a fun exhibition for players to get exposure to the common fan. Currently, the Atlanta Braves contingent in Arizona is part of a Peoria squad that is dominating the league, so for the second season, the Braves representatives could return with a league championship in hand, ready to impact the organization.
