Organizational Roles
Many great people have worked from organization-wide roles and moved into roles with the team. Chuck Hernandez served as the Atlanta Braves pitching coach after serving as the organization’s pitching coordinator.
In 2019, Doug Mansolino will join the Atlanta Braves as the new field coordinator in the organization. Pitching will be overseen by Dave Wallace as director of pitching and Derrick Lewis as pitching coordinator.
Mike Brumley will return as the hitting coordinator. Positionally, holdovers Jeff Datz (catchers), Adam Everett (infield), and John Shelby (outfield/baserunning) will coordinate the positions.
Minor league strength and conditioning will be coordinated again by Mike Schofield, who will be joined by assistant Ryan Driscoll.
The Atlanta Braves look to have another great season in the minor leagues, and they’ve again chosen talented coaches to lead those teams.
