On paper, the Nationals are improved, the Mets are improved, and the Phillies are probably improved (pending Harper/Machado decisions).  How will the Atlanta Braves keep pace?

The 2019 season is rapidly approaching and the Atlanta Braves will, of course, be the defending NL East Champs. Without a doubt, the NL East teams have been the most active in this seasons offseason and I am sure there is more to come from all 5 teams, but in this piece, we are going to look at what are some ways the Braves can improve with the projected current roster.

Stay Healthy

Of course, the easiest way to defend a division crown is to have the best 25 for the majority of the season stay healthy and produce. We all know someone will go down, let’s just hope its no one the Braves can ill afford to lose for an extended period of time.

We don’t wish injury for any player, but let’s hope the Atlanta Braves are the most fortunate in the division and lose the least of the 4 teams that everyone anticipates battling for the division all the way into September.
