Braves rumors sound like the J.T. Realmuto saga could be coming to a close soon, so we look at one more mock proposal for the Atlanta Braves.

According to several reports, it sounds like trade talk for J.T. Realmuto is heating up, and the Atlanta Braves still seem in the race, leading to rampant Braves rumors.

Even though publicly the Braves front office continues to say they are not in on Realmuto, the media keeps reporting their involvement.

Who really knows to what extent the Braves are involved. My guess would be they are just staying at arms length in case the Marlins drop their price.

To this point, the Marlins have been asking for a major league ready player like Ozzie Albies, as well as a top prospect like Austin Riley. It would obviously be absurd for the Braves to give up both of those players, and even one of those for a two-year rental might be a bit much.

To make matters worse, it sounds like the Marlins are not going to give a team the window to negotiate an extension with Realmuto as part of the trade.

That makes it really hard for teams like the Reds and Padres to get involved as they are still a couple of years away from competing.

The other two teams reportedly in on Realmuto right now are the Dodgers and Braves, and they are in a better position to compete over the last two years of Realmuto’s contract.

Here is one last proposal for Realmuto for the Atlanta Braves to consider.

To me, this deal should be more than enough to get it done. I think Johan Camargo could be an everyday player on most teams, and I think he has the chance to be a Marwin Gonzalez type player.

Kyle Wright still has top of the rotation potential and is also major league ready. Greyson Jenista has a chance to be a power-hitting corner outfield. And then Alex Jackson gives them some depth at catcher.

The kicker here is I would want the Marlins to throw in Drew Steckenrider. I’m sure the Marlins would say that’s too much, or they would make the Braves throw in another top 10 prospect.

In all honesty, I think the Marlins are being ridiculous in what they want for two years of Realmuto. Even my proposal seems like the Braves are giving up a lot — if that return was just for Realmuto and didn’t include Steckenrider.

I think the Dodgers are the favorite for Realmuto as they seem the most desperate to upgrade at catcher. But if the Braves can get him at the price mentioned above, then I think they’ll get it done and satisfy those Braves rumors floating out there.
