Fantasy baseball season is getting ready to go into full swing, and we look at five players on the Atlanta Braves you need to own.

For some people, the fantasy baseball season may have already started with those games in Japan. But for most fantasy baseball players, the real Opening Day marks the beginning.

As you prepare for last minute drafts, keep these Atlanta Braves players in mind.

Kyle Wright

If you’re looking for a sleeper late in the draft, there will be a number of young Atlanta Braves pitchers that you can choose from.

And with all of the injuries in the Braves starting rotation, these guys are going to get a long look to start the season.

This group includes Max Fried, Bryse Wilson, and Touki Toussaint.

But if you’re looking for high upside, go with Kyle Wright.

The former fifth overall pick has looked really good in Spring Training (outside of his disastrous start on Thursday).

He got a taste of the big leagues in 2018 and posted a 4.50 ERA in six innings out of the bullpen, which was mostly due to command issues as he walked six batters.

Wright has cut down on his walks significantly this Spring issuing just four free passes in 12.2 innings pitched with 18 strikeouts.

The 23-year-old has the stuff to be a top of the rotation pitcher. But as with all young pitchers, sometimes it takes time to refine their command and pitches at the Major League level.

I think you’re going to have some starts from Wright this year where he wins you a week. But then he’ll have others like Thursday when he could lose you a week.

It may be about playing the matchups for Wright, but he definitely has the upside to help you win your league.
