Why the Atlanta Braves Will Win the World Series in 2019
Here we take a look at what it will take for the Atlanta Braves to win the World Series this season.
Opening Day always brings hope to Major League Baseball fans. Almost every team (sorry Marlins), believes they can win the World Series in 2019, including the Atlanta Braves.
Now winning the division will be no easy task for the Atlanta Braves in 2019, so it seems a bit optimistic to be talking about the World Series.
But hey, isn’t that what it should all be about?
Last year it was fun to unexpectedly win the NL East. But now we should be striving for so much more.
You might not think that by how the front office sat on their hands all offseason, but this club still has the talent to compete for a World Series — if a few things go their way.
Any team who wins a World Series needs a little luck.
The National League, in particular, will be very competitive this year with at least nine teams capable of making the playoffs.
And several other teams will be really competitive. The only team in a complete rebuild — at least officially — is the Marlins.
The Padres are hoping they are coming out of their rebuild. And I’m not sure what the Diamondbacks and Giants are doing.
The Reds and Pirates should at least be competitive this season.
In the American League, the picture is already pretty clear. You have three or four teams who could win the World Series (Indians, Red Sox, Yankees, Astros).
For the sake of Mike Trout and all of baseball, I’m hoping the Angels can somehow make the playoffs.
The path for the Atlanta Braves in 2019 won’t be easy, but I believe they can get the job done.
