Starting today, we are going to publish a weekly MLB Power Rankings every Monday. We will rank every team, including the Atlanta Braves, in order of how well they are playing and what direction that team is heading.

So with that being said, lets jump right into the top 10 of our first MLB Power Rankings of the 2019 season.

1. Houston Astros

When you win nine in a row, including a sweep over the first place team in your division, you are usually going to wind up around this spot in the MLB power rankings. The Astros are going to be good all year.

2. Tampa Bay Rays

The best winning percentage in the game and the biggest division lead in all of baseball. Tampa is for real. Not too mention, that the Chris Archer trade is heavily leaning towards the Rays end of the spectrum.

3. Milwaukee Brewers

The LA road trip started off rough but ended up decent after taking 2-out-of-3 from the Dodgers.

4. Seattle Mariners

I think we are about to find out if the Mariners are for real or not. How do they respond after getting swept by a very good Astros team will be a sign.

5. St. Louis Cardinals

A 4-game sweep of the Dodgers and split with the Reds in Mexico. Pitching is still the key though with the Cardinals, as they have a very deep lineup.

6. Philadelphia Phillies

Since sweeping the Braves, the pitching has been all over the place both good and bad, but as of now, they lead the NL East.

7. Minnesota Twins

Only having played 12 games still, the Twins are 8-4. Eddie Rosario has finally started to make good contact again as well.

8. San Diego Padres

Still early, but this Padres team looks good so far as they’re in first place right now. However, the Padres have played the Giants and Diamondbacks frequently thus far.

9. Atlanta Braves

The Braves salvaged the Mets series after dropping the first two. Let’s hope Dansby Swanson can stay hot and show the team that traded him what they missed … again.

10. New York Mets

The Mets are proving that the NL East is going to be a four-team race. They do have to hope Jacob deGrom finds his stellar ways again though after two clunkers.
