Atlanta Braves: Mock trade talks with Giants expert from Around the Foghorn

The San Francisco Giants are known to be shopping some of their veteran relievers, and the Atlanta Braves could certainly use one or two.

As the Atlanta Braves continue to look for ways to upgrade their bullpen, there is an obvious trade partner in the San Francisco Giants.

The Giants are seemingly starting to accept the fact that they aren’t very good anymore, and it’s time to build towards the future.

From my understanding, they have a lot of young arms in the bullpen that they feel are ready to take on a bigger role. And with that, it makes some of their veteran relievers more expendable.

That list of relievers includes Sam Dyson, Mark Melancon, Tony Watson, and Will Smith.

Any of those pitchers would be a boost to the Atlanta Braves bullpen, but the cost for each could be different.

Here at FanSided, we have the unique ability to work with experts from other team’s sites. Because while we as Braves fans may think it’s simple to make a trade, how other team’s view our talent is not the same.

So we were able to work with Joel Reuter, the site expert from Around the Foghorn, to see if we could work out a mock trade between the Giants and Braves.

The Giants are a team that is looking to compete to please a fanbase, while also trying to build for the future. It’s believed that they are looking for outfield help and starting pitching, which the Atlanta Braves have in bunches.
