With another week in the books for the Atlanta Braves, we are almost to September. The playoffs are in full sight, and hopefully those all-white jerseys are forever out of sight.

Let’s see where the Atlanta Braves and the rest of Major League Baseball stack up in our weekly MLB Power Rankings.

30. Detroit Tigers

The Tigers two young rotation stalwarts have both hit a bump in the road here lately. Matthew Boyd especially, as he has been roughed up his past few starts.

29. Baltimore Orioles

A couple of quick notes on the Orioles. Jonathan Villar has been an extremely hot hitter lately and has joined the 20-20 club and hopefully somehow, someway Baltimore can cool off Washington starting Tuesday.

28. Miami Marlins

The Marlins would be in Wild Card contention if they could play the Phillies 162 times a year. The Phillies have mysteriously struggled against the Fish this year.

27. Kansas City Royals

The Royals were able to hold off the Indians Sunday and avoid another sweep despite the fact the Indians tied it up in the bottom of the 9th with a clutch HR by Franmil Reyes.

26. Toronto Blue Jays

Atlanta Braves fans are about to get to see the exciting young talent Toronto has as we play the Blue Jays in a two-game series this week north of the border and also next week in Atlanta.

25. Pittsburgh Pirates

Bryan Reynolds just picked a bad year to enter the NL Rookie of the Year race. He is having a very good freshman year, but obviously is just in the shadows to the bigger names in the rookie race.

24. Seattle Mariners

The Mariners are 6-2 over their last 8 games. They might still end up with 70 wins on the season but it will be tough over the next few days as they welcome the New York Yankees into the Northwest.

23. Colorado Rockies

This is still my vote for the most disappointing team. I had them in the Wild Card game, but as of now, they are just fighting to not finish last in the mediocre NL West.

22. Cincinnati Reds

The National League hasn’t welcomed in Trevor Bauer with open arms. He has been beaten around a good bit since the Reds acquired him in late July.

21. Los Angeles Angels

Safe to say the Angels didn’t enjoy their visit to the Lone Star state very much last week as the Rangers and Astros beat them in every game. They will get a chance to redeem themselves versus the Rangers this week however
