Atlanta Braves have no choice but to ride with Freddie Freeman

The Atlanta Braves prepare for a huge game 5 tomorrow against the St. Louis Cardinals.

Things wont be easy for the Atlanta Braves as they are set to have a rematch of game 2 against Cardinals ace Jack Flaherty.

One thing we can all agree on though, is we would all feel a little better if our heart and soul of the team, Freddie Freeman, were swinging a good bat.

One cannot argue right now, that this might very possibly be the worst stretch of the slugger’s career.

Over his last 57 at bat’s, Freddie has just 7 hits for the Atlanta Braves. Before his 2-hit game in game 1 of this series, the last time he had a multi-hit game was almost a month ago on September 10th.

Speaking of game 1 though, he did mash a ball over 460 feet to dead center against new Atlanta Braves rival Carlos Martinez. That obviously shows you the power is still there.

Of course, we bring that up because as everyone knows by now, Freddie has been dealing with bone spurs in his elbow.

The team and Freddie both have acknowledged they have come and gone for years. The timing of this flair is beyond terrible, to say the least.

However, Freddie Freeman wants you to know that those are not the cause of his recent slide and it’s just plain poor hitting as these comments indicate:

So with that, we go back to the main question here — what do the Atlanta Braves do with Freddie Freeman?

Of course, they aren’t going to not play him. For one, you ride the horses who brought you here, and second, I’m sorry but there isn’t another player that can play first as good as Freddie even when he is not at 100%.

Do we go back and look at history and maybe try something like the Yankees did with Alex Rodriguez back in the day and drop him in the order?

It certainly is an option for Brian Snitker to consider, but besides Ronald Acuna, who is hitting on the Atlanta Braves to move to the 3 spot?

The answer to that is no one.

As we sit here 1 day prior to obviously the biggest game of the year, I think the Atlanta Braves have to sit back and hope that Freddie is relentless (pun intended) and refuses to go home like this.

Next. Offense needs to break out. dark

While no one is going to “blame” Freddie Freeman if the Braves drop this game, he can still be the hero. All it takes is one good game or one big hit. Let’s hope their is some magic left in this tank.
