Are Atlanta Braves fans temporary Nats fans in NLCS?
I never thought I’d see the day Atlanta Braves fans cheered for the Washington Nationals, but that appears to be the case in the NLCS.
Want to know how strong postseason emotions can be — even Atlanta Braves fans appear to be cheering for the Washington Nationals in this year’s NLCS.
As crazy as that sounds, it seems to be a popular opinion among Braves fans on Twitter.
The Cardinals really earned a lot of hate from Atlanta Braves fans in the NLDS, and for very good reason. For an organization that is supposedly built on class, the way they handled everything in the NLDS was anything but classy.
From getting upset at Ronald Acuna Jr. for something he’s done all season and then talking about it in the media, to then plunking him in a blow out like a bunch of cowards, I no longer have any respect for that team.
And it seems like a lot of Braves fans on Twitter feel the same way.
Of course, the majority of Braves fans are hoping that the season suddenly goes on strike so that both teams lose.
But for those who aren’t looking for natural disasters to occur to stop this MLB postseason, almost every response we got from Braves fans want the Nationals to destroy the Cardinals.
I never thought in a million years that I’d be cheering for the Nationals in the postseason, but even I find myself enjoying the misery that the Cardinals are experiencing.
And again, that just goes to show you how emotional things are in the postseason when moments are amplified.
If what happened with the Cardinals takes place in the regular season we probably hate them, but not to the point where we’re cheering for our division rival to beat them in the playoffs.
With the NLCS all but wrapped up, we can soon go back to hating the Nationals and root for them to get swept in the World Series by either the Astros or Yankees.
