Now that the pain has subsided from a disastrous end to 2019, we look at the biggest questions for the Atlanta Braves entering the offseason.

The 2019 season did not end as we hoped for the Atlanta Braves, but it’s time to move on and start thinking about how this team can reach its goal of winning a World Series in 2020.

Because that is the goal now. Winning division titles and even just advancing (which they still haven’t done) isn’t enough — it’s time for this team to start being a legit contender to win a World Series.

With that, we enter a very interesting offseason for the Atlanta Braves. While there is still a lot of talent inhouse that will be coming in the future, there is also a great foundation with which to do big things now.

It will be up to Alex Anthopoulos, the front office, and Brian Snitker to find ways to turn this team into another World Series contender next season, while also bringing along some of that young talent that is knocking on the door.

That may be the biggest challenge for AA this offseason is deciding which young players are going to step up and be key contributors next season.

I’m thinking of guys like Kyle Wright and Bryse Wilson who could be big parts of the starting rotation in 2020. But if Snitker and the front office don’t think they’ll be ready, then they will need to go out and find some stop-gap players until they are ready.

The offseason is always full of its own level of excitement. So let’s kick it off with our eight biggest questions entering the offseason.
